I'm looking for a cam for new 408 build.
Its a forged interal 408 with stock 243s(heads will later be exchanged out for prc 2.5 5.3's)
Will be spraying in with a 200 shot...
I was thinkin about the texas giant cam..
Lookin for yalls suggestions.

It all depends on what you want to do with the car.
I've seen a recent 408 with TSP stage 1 heads and an MS4 put down 470 at the wheels but gave up a lot in the lower rpms.
You need to figure out if you want a roll racing drag queen or power under the curve for more of a daily driver street friendly setup. Both Patrick and Pred will ask you what your intended use wil be. I've seen Patrick's questionaire and it's pretty thorough.
You need to know how often you want to change your valve springs, what rpm range you want your power band in. Gears and tires. There is much more than just a couple questions to properly specing out a cam. We've installed anywhere from a 234/240 to a 252/260 in a 408 depending on what the customers application is.

It won't be a daliy driver. But it will be driven on the streets and taken to the strip.
Pretty much a weekend cruiser/strip car.
I've got a 4L80 I plan on running in it.
I'll shoot predator/patrick a pm.
Thanks guys.
