A real cheap fix that should be done anyway, is a new PCV valve. They're like $6. My LS1 smoked on decel when I first got it. New PCV valve and all has been good, even after a cam swap.

How many miles are on your car? Could be blow by or bad valve seals.

Most likely valve seals. Smoke on decel and idle is most likely seals, not rings.

Rings will smoke more the harder the throttle.

What they're saying is the old rule: If it smokes more the more throttle you give it, it's rings. If it occurs on deceleration - off-throttle - it's the seals.

If you give it a leak-down test and get good readings then you know your rings are good.
