Exclamation Storing LS1 engine

Hi guys
I'm going to study abroad for four years and I have Ls1 engine newly rebuilt and I want your advice on the way that I should store it!!

yeah do some searching on the net. obviously any steel has to be protected from moisture so it doesnt rust and gaskets have to be protected from drying out. I would also assume you would put the motor in a "ziplock" bag to protect it from dust etc.

There are bags specifically made for wrapping engines etc. for storage - rust inhibiting/drying agents lined on the inside of the bag.

Thanks guys!!
I've searched google for some tips but they confused me more...So what I did few hours ago --> I filled the engine with oil and wrapped it with a bag!!
and all the holes are closed with gasket or with tape..If any one have any additional advice I'm willing to hear them

I usually change the engine oil and run it a few minutes to circulate the new stuff. Then loosen all 16 rockers, blow a whole can of storage fogging oil down the intake, and all 8 spark plug holes. Put plastic bags over the throttle body mouth and both exhaust pipes, held on by zip ties so they don't come loose.

Is this engine in or out of the car. For that long a period, I would personally remove the rockers to unload all the valve springs. If you go to Wal Mark, you can buy a plastic tub and put the rocker in the tub and fill the tub with oil.
