Default LS1 Rev Kit??

I just called AFR, and they said there is no such thing as a Rev Kit for an LS1. Is this true?

A rev kit for a LS1 would require you pulling the heads, Ive never seen one for a LS1 but it would suck to put on. Why do you want one are you trying to spin 10k or something?

I'm installing a S/C, and 317's soon. I was told by a performance shop that Rev Kits are very beneficial on S/C applications. Then I got the conflicting info from AFR, and I'm having problems finding info and dealers of LS1 rev kits.

Usually the weight on that side of the rocker is not that important. Like J-Rod said we do have good lifters and springs now as well. I've used a few of these kits with no change at all on the ones we tried so maybe we did something wrong but we saw nothing? I'd use them if they worked so I would like to see more info on them but so far no real changes from what I have seen whereas good springs and lighter springs and valves and retainers and locks etc. give very nice gains.

are you sure you need one? with the current valvetrain options people are going +6500 rpm on forced induction without a problem .... chack if you need it just a thought

I read that it`s used in old sbc to rev +6400 rpm and eliminate or reduce valve float and a way of reaching 6400-6600 on old sbc is using comp 918 beehives on them for a higher reving engine

I think thats why you don't see a lot of them. The current stuff works, so there is no need, not like a SBC anyway.
