valve seal for PP Xtreme spring
Guys, I need to know what valve seal I should have with the Patriot Performance Dual "Gold Extreme" Valve Spring .660"
I have the cam package from TR with PP Extreme and I just received my TSP-PRC 5.3 stg 2.5 heads and I'm wondering about the parts i need to change during the head swap!
For what I know I have to change the valve seals, head bolts "already ordered ARP bolt kit" and GM stock head head gasket.
My cam is custom grind 231/240 .643/.608 112+4 and the heads valve were sink by TSP to the MS3 cam so I'm gonna end up with more clearance for with my cam.
If some body know the part# of the Valve seals will be much better, and what do you think about the head gaskets??!
Thanks in advance

No, I'm just doing a head swap. I already got the cam package with the PP Extremes " seals are included" since last month, and I think that I have to change the seals when I swap the cam parts to the new heads,, correct me if I'm wrong!!

No, because I ordered them with GM stock springs since i already have the PP duals.
And as far as I know, there are two kind of factory Felpro, small and big ones. Which one that fit in the dual springs?
Thanks so much for your help

Ohh, you already did the cam swap and have been running the Patriot seals. I would think they should still be good as long as you can remove them without damaging them at all.
One other thing. If I read your original post right, the valves were sunk to gain more PTV clearance? You might need to shim your springs to get the correct valve height, which I think is 1.8". Might want to find out about that from TSP or Patriot, or maybe someone will chime in.

Could anyone please clarify this to me?

A shim that goes under your spring seat. You would have to check the height with a micrometer.

According to the Patriot website the install height is 1.800".

So which spring shim do I need from the listed ones in that page?

I got the TSP 5.3 stg 2.5 heads with sunk valves to MS3 to gain more PTV clearance since my cam is smaller than the MS3 as advice by John Janz from TSP and my springs are PP Xtreme.
And Thank you for your assistance, really appreciate it
Also I'm going to send (TSP/John Janz) a PM with a copy from that thread to help us.

The only way to tell would be to measure it, but you would want to use the same retainer as you will use with your PP springs to get an accurate height.
I don't know for sure how much the sunken valve will even affect this, as I don't have any experience in this area. It's best to ask TSP as you are doing.

I can get you set up with a set of PRC valve seals which will work with that springkit you have for $29.99 for a complete set. Or you can grab the GM stuff. Make sure to check your spring heights once installed, those retainers vary in height at times.
Part numbers from GM:
12533586 - intake stem valve seals
12457652 - exhaust stem valve seals
