lq4 6.0 +TSP Tsunami cam + 243
ok so one of my ls7 lifters went out took my block and cam with it lol.
So new build.... Here goes nothing
stock long block lq4.... well arp rod-bolts,
fully ported 243 or 317 milled .030
TSP Tsunami cam ( Texas Speed Tsunami 235/240, .654"/.609", 111 LSA )
pushrods...? need to buy a comp length checker
ls2 lifter trays
for now ported ls6 intake
42lb lucas
I might need to sell my long tubes for some 1 7/8
is there any thing better than a ls6 ported form TSP oil pump
what do you guys think? am looking for 450 rwhp mabey 470 after 90/90 swap. should I even think about ls7 lifters or just go with comp

just pretend u will always have ptv and just go ahead machine in relieves or buy piston with relieves. and correct pushrod length and degreed cam with adj. timang chain, is the only correct way to install valvetrain.
problem solved.
milled 243 will equal more scr, which equal more dcr.

If you stick with the stock LQ4 short-block, try and go with the 243's. That smaller chamber will help get you some compression as compared to the 317's and they perform alot better. Also, if you're going with larger than stock valves avoid milling them that far for sure (piston to valve clearance would be a major concern)!

i figured with the lq4 having dished pistons it would be less likely to have pvc issues with a bigger cam. how much to have them machined compared to buying new ones that already have reliefs in them?
