The Great LS1 Head Comparison...Opinions From the following thread https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...afr-205-a.html. A couple of us have been invited to bring down a couple sets of heads to Texas Speed to compare with their products. Chris is lending a set of TEA 2.5 ls6 heads. I myself want to purchase some TFS 215's. I'm looking for other peoples opinion on a way to make this comparison fair.

Tony has a project in the works that should show off the new AFR 215's. Just stay tuned, she's going to kick ***. Everyone should be amazed when the details come out. I'm not saying anymore, you'll just have to wait on Tony to post up.

Now we're at the reverse situation people accuse TSP of. If TSP will pull their heads off the CNC machine, knock off the burrs, and put on the dyno, they should be able to take other manufacturer's heads out of their sales stock and dyno. TSP now has to take whoever brings their heads word their heads are stock ,not embellished a little bit.

It's no problem though, AFR, TFS heads are in stock at Scoggin Dickey. All heads used for the testing will be required to be built or bought new in the box from Scoggin Dickey. This way all is even...
We can do a out of the box comparison the only bad part is it almost requires using a camshaft under .600" lift because AFR & TFS standard springs are rated to .600" if memory serves me correctly.

Hell, thats fine with me. I planned on buying heads anyway. When is the release date on the AFR 215's? I would love to do a PRC,TFS,AFR 215 comparison. I don't care if i have to buy both sets of TFS and AFR's. As far as a cam goes...most guys buying any 215's are right at or well above .600 lift. We could pick a standard spring or allow the available option for spring upgrade from the manufacture.

That's up to TSP Rob. They are trying to keep all the variables of a ringer to a minimum. I don't see the problem...but i can see where others might. I say we agree to a procedure....run the test....report the results and let the consumer decide.(i like the trickflow killers...funny ****. I got 10lbs. of Vindicator slayer in my trunk if you wanna try..).

that is where i assumed it was okay to bring the TEA heads...
the problem is we have a perfectly good set sitting in the closet sealed, so now we have to buy another set...
