Default Do I have a leaking head gasket?

I noticed the oil in my head under the valve cover was a little bit oddly colored. looked like new oil but not as clear. the oil only has about 60-70 miles on it. reminds me of black coffee with a very slight amount of cream but im not sure. here are some pics.

i think the camera makes it look a little bit lighter than it is but what do you guys think? This is a brand new motor too with 60-70 miles on it.

I think it looks like ****.

Does your drain plug have a magnet on it? If so, was there a lot of metal shavings on it?

Hard to tell in the pics, but looks like there could be a lot of metal in there.

Get back to the original question. What makes you think you have a head gasket problem and why in the world did you drain your oil after only 70 miles(not that it doesn't need by the looks of it)?

It's hard to tell from the pic - can you get a clear glass full and give us a pic of that? What kind of oil is it?

I think that my headgasket is leaking because i noticed my oil was oddly colored. And this is only my second oil change on a brand new motor. you must change the oil very frequently on a new motor. Oil is just Shell 5w-30 conventional.

ill work on the glass idea. I also forgot to mention that im running no pcv system right now. both elbows on the passenger valve cover are open and the driver side hole is also open. not sure if that would effect this but just wanted to mention.

From the picture you posted that oil doesn't look milky(oil & water mixed). It just looks real dirty(a lot more that 60 miles). Have you doone a compression test or a leakdown.
