I think it was supposed to be like 13 Liters. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Pontiac needs to get rid of the "New and improved GTO" before they bring out the Trans Am. I seriously think that GM is trying to kill any good name they ever had. It is a very cool engine though. I think it was in the 13 or 14 liter area as far as displacement goes.

830 cubes, or 13.6 liters. 1000 hp and 1000 lb-ft, which puts it just about the same hp and torque per L as an LS6. It has very similar architecture to the LS1 with 2 valves per cylinder driven by pushrods, but with 20% more displacement per cylinder. It weights about 64 lbs less than a 8100 big block.

It also has DOD or Displacement on Demand so it can cruise on 4 cylinders, pass on 8 and run on all 16 when racing Mustangs.

Transmission is a beefed 4L80E.

dude i couldn't imagine how hard it would be to put that in an F-body! That would be insane! You'd have a new center console on your car, better hope the intake has cup holders built in cause that thing would be sittin next to ya in your car.

Be interesting to see what the dyno graph curves look like from a 16 cylinder engine!

BTW I don't think this engine will ever swap into a Fiero..:-)
