Need a good cam to get over 400+ hp

ok been reading alot about cam's and found one that was interesting...I dont know if you guys every heard of chris but he's on youtube with just a 230/230 cam and made over 420+ hp that amazing. These engines are amazing at making so much hp just out of a cam...trust me wont be buying until I take everything into consideration. All the help you guys have been is great. I have to take a look into the f series cams but I think the ms4 is to big an I want my motor to at least last alittle longer.

im also in the market for a cam as well. this thread has pretty good info on it.

I take down all your info and spec you a cam based on your mods and goals. You can then have the cam ground by one of my preferred vendors (board sponsors here). They have excellent package pricing so you won't pay too much.

ok check this ok guys I was at the track last night an I met this guy with a 04 gto which has ls1 this guy just had ls6 springs , pushrods an a hot cam an only a 100 shot this guy was doing mid 11's all day stock interenal that really got my juices flowing if you know what I mean. On that note the best I did was 13.1 at 110 just on 273 gears I think my motor is running real strong cause man last night It was trying to rip my head off

HUGE cams don't always equal the fastest track times. My cousins cam only car (228R) runs high 11s. Check out his race with the red car and read all the mods on both cars...he wasn't spraying either.

As John posted above, our RapTR cam will get you there easily but I could also spec you a custom cam as well. There are many options out there. Some vendors here would have you believe they are the only shop that does R&D. I can assure you, all reputable shops test multiple combinations in various vehicles to come up with cam specs. We've been in business longer than most shops on this board and years longer than many. Its funny how everyone has their "OWN" lists of cams that look almost identical. Everyone has to start somewhere but we started from scratch. We've tested hundreds of camshafts over the years and have seen what works and what doesn't. It's easy to take someone else's hard work and R&D and try to improve upon it. While others are taking our 10 year old designs to compare against, we've gone in a completely different direction. As a matter of fact, over 70% of the cams we sell today are not even listed on our website (for various reasons...) Why not contact each vendor and see who gives you the best service and technical advice? Thunder has a long track record of providing excellent customer service with race proven parts and unparalled technical support. I've said it before and I'll say it again here, I'd rather lose a sale than sell you substandard product, PERIOD.
Also, as stated above, the biggest cam doesn't always make for the fastest car...

You guys are right the biggest cam is not the best with alot of reading all day I think I have come closer to what I want which is mostly in the 230 area cause I was thinking to my self why put a huge cam just put a cam to give close to the power I want then just throw like a 100-150 shot of nos. The rear I wanna see how long it will go before I crack the hell out of It. Later plan to put a strange in it with 3.90 or 4.10's. Trust me looking around for the best deal I can get times are tough right now but If I want it get it.
