Default Just turned 432rwhp/407rwtq (Cam only)

Little info on this 2001 SS...

Z06 bone stock heads (2001 stock valves/stock untouched heads)
TTP custom "Equalizer" camshaft
Electric water pump
ASP u/d crank pulley only (No shortbelt)
Kooks 1 3/4" headers
Borla catback
Moser 12-bolt with 4.11's
No suspension upgrades besides SLP bilstein/spring package

This car just received our brand new custom TTP camshaft -- "The Equalizer".

Here is his graph before with a B1 cam and stock water pump:

395.8rwhp / 376.1 rwtq

After upgrading to our TTP custom cam and the meziere street pump (Sorry about the quality, these were taken with a camera in a dark area, I'll get them scanned in soon):

432.3 rwhp / 407.6 rwtq through a Moser 12-bolt with 4.11 gears!

+ 36.5rwhp / + 31.5rwtq

We are very excited about these numbers. Michael, a good friend of ours, is very happy with this new combo. Last night he ran a few 11.4 passes with his best being 11.46 @ 121 MPH with a 1.6 60'... We are going to do a few suspension goodies and replace his stock shifter soon. The MPH is very impressive for a stock headed car.

- Matt

Wow. The more I see these numbers the more I am amazed. At first I thought LG and some other shops were getting lucky here or there. But time after time someone else is hitting new and even better numbers. OVER 400 rwhp on stock LS6 heads!! Good Job Guys. Hey Matt, I would assume that this is an M6, right? Bear

Matt,

Good #'s Do you have a full dyno grph and cam specs. The cam might go well with the Kooks I'm getting from you and a set of heads I have.

Congrats on the numbers, should help sell alot of those cams.....

That being said, depending on the cam specs, that appears on par with other "big cammed" cam only cars if you factor in 5-15HP for the LS6 heads and 7-10 for the water pump.......

Jim you should look into Speed Inc they have a stock headed 01 ZO6 turning 401 hp with no electric pump or underdrive pullies plus its a local shop(Schaumburg) so you wont have to ship it back and forth on a flat bad like with the Z07. Speed Incs stock LS6 heads package

those numbers aren't bad at all! but considerind the LS6 heads and water pump that is a fairly reasonable/obtainable number. had this been ls1 heads and stock water pump my jaw would've hit the floor.

I have to second this notion. The numbers are good, but nothing that isn't obtainable. A guy here turned 423 with the thunder 227 and no pump. throw on the electric pump, and he'd be right there. Still good nun the less. Congrats.

George has the graph at his house, so I'll have him scan in a new one. He was still making power and that was at 6800rpm.

The tune is pretty conservative, not pushing the limits of timing up top and more towards the lean side.

Jay @ Absolute and I flow tested a bunch of heads the other day... We did some testing on a good intake port from a stock ls6 head vs. a good intake port from a stock ls1.

The stock ls1 port was only 7-10cfm behind the ls6 head up in the peak range. This should equate to around the same numbers in hp according to Jay.

See but the problem is that all these ports do not flow consistent with the others. Some of the intake ports stalled out at 250 over 500 lift.. other ports flowed up to 265 to 600 lift.

Ya the pump is worth a good 7-10.

You also have to remember that not all these other results are going through a 12-bolt with 4.11 gears.. That robs some good power there.. If this was a 10-bolt with stock gears we're talking 430+hp.

We're looking for a stock ls1 head car to get this cam in and tuned.

We're keeping this cam somewhat of a secret for now, the specs are pretty big and it's a hard loping cam. This is a clip right after we threw it in our customer's car. This is no tuning, so it stumbles a bit before it idles out. We have some track videos from this weekend that I'll post later tonight or tomorrow.

TTP Equalizer

It ran a few 11.4's.. Best run was a 11.46 @ 121 MPH...

60 foots were in the 1.6 range. Car needs a bit of suspension work and weight reduction, car has a chromoly rollbar and a front sway bar.

Matt you short changed me by .02, my best was 11.46@121 with a 1.65 60'. Pretty good for a car that weighs 3500 without my 240lb *** in it.

Nice numbers TTP!

TEA had a stock-headed 02' ZO6 mkae 417 rwhp a couple of weeks ago. He had the usual mods like FLP's w/offroad pipes, Corsa exhaust, intake, pulley, and free mods. TEA tuned the car.
