Default Which are all the CAMs pass C.A. SMOG????

Looking for a cam that will make good power and still pass strict CA sniffer..I have a full bolt-on 2002 z28. Automatic mods include: lid p&p t.b. And mass, hooker super comps, Borla cat back, slp high flow cats, 160* t-stat, 373 gears, Ud pulley... Any suggestions by sponsors or people with this type of cam.. Thanx

Any cam with -6* overlap or less will pass garanteed.

LPE GT2-3 (207/220)
Thunder Racing CheaTR (215/230)
Comp cam 220/220 114

More borderline (need good tailored tune)
Thunder racing TR224 114
Comp cam 224/224 114

The biggest cam I've seen pass is a 224/224 on a 114 LSA

I just bought a Thunder Racing CheaTR cam. I was told that it is an updated CheaTR cam it's a 219/230 117LSA. I bought it for the obvious gains and also that I was assured that it will pass SMOG. I'm not going to be installing it until I get out of Iraq sometime next Spring but I'll be posting up on it either way you can bet. It's going on my 05 CTS-V with cat-back, CAI, Granatelli MAF, and Ported TB.

If all goes well I may use the same set-up on my 2000 SS after I find some used LS6 heads. Gotta pass that damn SMOG thing you know.

This is the biggest. You can pass with a 112 LSA if you have a really good tune

just curious why you dont go bigger and just pay for the smog to be done. my t-rex passes with flying colors but like everyone stated above the cheater is a good cam but a 224 114 is a good starter cam
