Quench for a Stroker 403
4.005" bore
4.000" stroke
6.125" rods
1.110" comp height on pistons
9.225" deck height (Square decked the block)
-3cc pistons
66cc chamber TFS 235's
Here is what I come up with in my calculator for quench and compression with different gasket thicknesses:
.040" gasket = .030" quench and 11.98:1
.045" gasket = .035" quench and 11.83:1
.050" gasket = .040" quench and 11.69:1
My main question is a .030" quench too tight? I've heard from numerous places that .040" is ideal. I just want the most power I can get!!!
