Default What cam should I get?

I don't know what cam to get with my setup. I have a 1999 Firehawk and this is my setup. 346ci with LS6 heads. I have a 3000-3500 stall with 3.73 gears. I have air lid, hooker long tubes, 3 inch y pipe and SLP loudmouth. I have an extra set of REV racing dual valve springs that are good for over .600 lift so i can do what ever you all recommend. What cam would be good for my setup? I drive it every other day so its not my daily driver. My brother has a G5 cam that comes with specs 228/232 Duration & 588/574 Lift at 114 Lobe Seperation. I like how this cam drives. It doesnt sound like a big cam at all. Let me know what would work good with my setup. I want to get the most out of my stall and 3.73 gears. Any info would help.

Since its not a DD are you looking for it to be a street terror or a weekend track car. How much HP are you looking to attain and where are you looking to go with the car in the future.

You could go with a tried and true MS3, MS4, VRX5, etc..

They should do fine with your stall and gears.

He means lots of guys have used those cam grinds & been happy with the performance & dyno numbers. As well as street manners with proper tune.

I actually really like my 224 cam with my budget 5.3 heads. It's fun to drive & mine is a daily driver. Havent even had it tuned yet. Been driving it for 2yrs on this combo as well getting 18mpg untuned isnt too bad for a H/C set-up. Couldnt tell you the numbers though.

i have a mild 230/236 on a 114 and a 3600 stall is not enough. its enough if you wanted to cruise around but for drag racing i would want something in the 220's and 110-112. just from my personal experience.
