I would hope that after all is said and done, someone will remember to get some GOOD video of this monster in action!
Give us peons something to drool over!

This 434ci has the same bore/stroke as my 434ci, which is 4.155" bore and 4.00" stroke. The block is also a C5R block.

Whats next? A tube chassis and 'glass body

I'm impressed to say the least! Are you still running a 12 bolt or did you get a 9 inch for those 5.13's. Jeez I hope you're going to be using a huge tire (33?) for those!

I'll be staying with the 12-bolt. We're upgrading to 33 spline axles (was 30 spline) and a spool (was a HD Eaton posi.)
The plan is to run 29.5-30" x 10.5" slicks. 5.13s sound like alot of gear until you look at the 1.76 1st gear I'll be running in the powerglide.

Where did you get thoes valve covers from, and are the coil packs gona be mounted to them. Luck? You wont need any stinking luck as long as that trany holds up.
O yea and if the coil packs arent gona be on the valve covers, where are they gona be ?? Pics would be nice

I'm not sure where MTI got the valve covers. Katech I suppose?
Look at the pics Tony provided. You can see the coil packs in front of the valve covers. See the blue plug wires?
The tranny is a HUGE concern. I honestly don't give it much chance of making it through the weekend but it'll be fun regardless. I'm really considering this weekend as a Test-N-Tune session...I'm not getting my hopes up of actually winning. I just hope to get some good shakedown passes in before the tranny goes KABOOM!!!

The valvecovers are GM parts, made for the C5R racing engines.
The coil packs are mounted to custom brackets on the front of each head. See those blue sparkplug wires coming off the front of each head? See the 4 coil packs on each side?

BTW, Tony, I'm leaving in the morning. Needed today to square away a few things. I'll give you a ring when I'm on my way.

With 30" tires, 5.13's, and a say 7800 redline you'll be hitting 136 mph (which is what you trapped with your old setup). Of course your redline could be like 8500 rpm in which case you'd be good to 148 mph

seeing as how he's launching on the brake at 6500 i would assume a 8500-9000rpm redline. especially since he's using DFI.
the next step (if it were me) would be to put the current converter BACK in the car, machine some DP nozzles in that trick intake and setup a rear firewall for an additional fuel cell for the TNT. OR perhaps a nice carb-style single plane and huge 1500+ cfm 4-hole TB. by then we're probably talking more bore, more stroke, and a bigger solid roller.
or he could do what i'd do...and take that bizzatch on the street.
