MTI 434ci C5R - Colonel's Engine
<strong>Man that thing is bad *** <img border="0" alt="[hail]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_hail.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[hail]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_hail.gif" />
My question is the fuel system. Is the supply line feeding the regulator? All of the diagrams I've seen lately show the regulator after the rails hooked directly to the return line? Are you feeding the rails from the rear or whats done to have it on the supply side?
I can't wait for that video <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

The lines you see in the front are the outlets going to the regulator. On the bottom of the regulator is the -8AN return line back to the tank(not sure if you can see it).

Stephen,
Engine looks great! I'm very interested to see what you can do with this once its sorted out.. My next project I have is to put together an 8 second NA Engine, but then again I'll be backdating to a Rodeck or Donovon Aluminum Gen1 SBC, with some *serious* heads. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />
Good luck!

Are those the Madman solid engine mounts?
Is that a new motor or an old picture?
Let's not forget about the Brains behind this motor, Pecos and Robert.
They created this bullet, I'm just trying to fire it! <img border="0" alt="[guns]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_guns.gif" />

C/R is about 16:1.
I have no idea but I trust they know what they're doing. So, you think their position is bad for drivability? (Not that it's really much of a concern.) I expect the engine to drive and idle just fine for my purposes. The DFI system should really help with that.
very nice!!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />

It's a New engine, just been sitting on the stand for the last 6 months. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> I just set the Intae/Plate/TB on there for the pics. The heads are now at the machine shop to accomodate the Intake Bolt Conversion for the Dart Intake.
The car is darned near ready for the engine now. <img border="0" alt="[devil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" /> It is a new Intake combo though as I had an LT4 Intake w/ a Fogger but I decided to run a particular class that outlaws foggers. The only way to flow as much Nitrous as I need and distribute it evenly enough for my tastes is a good ole Single Plane w/ a Plate and Dry Enriched FAST Management with Individual Cylinder Controls..... <img border="0" alt="[devil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />
As far as the Engine mounts well.... They are the same ones that Madman sells. Though I didn't get them from Brian. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
Take care, and good luck with that Beast tomorrow!
This engine is a 434ci (7.1L) with a 4.155" bore and 4.00" stroke.
Price? If you have to ask, its too much for you <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

To the guy who asked how much? My guesss is, that if you have to ask, don't bother. You can't afford it.
Best of luck Colonel, hopefully you'll get alot of shakedown passes out of it this weekend.
