Engine bolts, reuse or new?
I bought an LQ4 with approx 45K on it. You think it would be fine to reuse the main, and head bolts or should I replace them? I'm keeping it stock for now, just freshening it up. Thanks.

Stock head bolts are torque to yield, meaning they are tightened to the point where they are permenantly deformed. A set of ARP head bolts are not too awfully expensive and you are able to re-use them each time. So if you think you'll ever tear into it more than this first time, you'll probably save money in the end by getting a set of ARP head bolts now instead of buying multiple sets of OEM head bolts.

Main bolts are reusable... Make sure when doing the last step on torque sequence that after you degree the bolts you check every one of them and make sure that they are at least 70 lb/ft but no more than 75 lb/ft... This lets you know for sure that the bolts havn't stretched.
