Man a TR230 for an excellent price go for it. I suggest NEVER using used springs though....u don't know what they went thru in the previous vehicle...

great starter cam...VERY VERY tame compared to what these LS1's can handle though. I wouldn't even waste my time w/it unless u have an M6 and can't get tuning done....other wise.....just a big'ole waste of time and effort....the X1 idles better than that cam does....swear to god.

i love the tr 230 i had 918 springs on mine for a while and didnt have a problem.. but i was thinking to upgrading my tr 230 up higher but it is my daily driver!!! jason, when you getting your stuff in??? i hope its not before i get those damn center bolt V.C.'s give me a holla some time

Come on Josey, you usually give good advice, but I gotta call BS! on that statement. The 224/224 cams are still great cams, and are perfect for daily drivers who put in alot of miles. The 224 intake duration definitely idles better than the X1 cam at 230, if using the same idle RPM.

I'm going with an X1 though, since I don't put alot of miles on my SS, and its more of a sunny-day only cruiser. Its probably worth 10-15 rwhp over the C2 cam, which was my 2nd choice.

Man I heard the 224/224 on a buds M6 and the damn thing rocked the car worse than my X1...*shrug*....I mean if ur gonna go thru putting a cam in and tuning it......why not the X1... Glad to see u can stay away from LS1 powered cars.... LMAO!
