Default Motor Break In Question?

I just built my motor heads and cam and went with bigger injectors and bigger fuel pump, and my question is on the break in process it says to normal drive the car for 4 to 6 hrs before getting on it....with bigger injectors do I have to worrie about washing out my rings from flooding it while breaking it in, Or should I get the car tuned even befor I drive it?

Yes.
Depending on how you want to break in the motor, maybe your tuner can set the IFR table for you then allow you to come back for the rest of the tune.

Or just let him tune it and not concern yourself with the break in.

You cannot crank this motor with the wrong size injectors in. They must be rescaled first before the intial crank up. Or put your stockers back in during break in.

As long as you are driving around like a normal person you are fine on stock injectors. Dont go over 5K or anything crazy like that. You should use whatever injector you are tuned for period.

YES....you do have to worry about washing the rings. Get a tune.

It happened to a friend of mine on a brand new 427 stroker.

Rings set in a mile..or just a few hard dyno pulls. It does not take miles and miles and miles to break in the rings. And thats all you're breaking in, the rings.

If all you did was H/C, you don't have to "break in" the engine, but like the others said, you need to get it tuned for the bigger injectors.

20 minutes at 2000 rpm and the rings are broke in. thats 2000 rpm not under a load. start it up and get it to 2000 rpm and leave it there for 20 minutes.
