i was actually thinking of buying the v.3 cheatr cam myself, what else would i need just to get around the 400 range? obviously headers but other then that what should i be looking at buying to make it run good?

Thunder Racing has a package with the cam & AFR 205 heads that's set up for the cam on there site.

Rocker arms not pictured but are 1.7 ratio, Camshaft specs are 216/220 duration, .560 in./.560 in. lift, 114 lobe separation angle. They have packages with more agressive cams
Perhaps running with 1.8+ rockers and then switching to 1.7 for smog checks??
