I would say call Texas speed, they will have the best info on that camshaft.

There are a couple options you can look at depending on your budget. We can get you setup with a set of Stg.1 LS6 heads. They would be the most budget friendly head that will clear without flycutting the pistons. If you are looking at aftermarket castings, we can run a set of the PRC 215cc or 227cc small bore heads. These will probably be the best head you can put on with that cam and will not require the need to flycut. They come out of the box with PRC EHT .675" springs and you can run factory rockers if you would like. Both heads are proven to make great power when matched up with this cam. The same heads have been on our heads/cam record car the last 2 years at the LSX Shootout!

Yeah the FAST intake will bolt right up! You will probably want to upgrade pump and injectors pretty quick if you went with that combo as well.

also if your not scared to flycut, the MS4 likes compression. tsp stg 2.5 5.3 heads with a 58cc chamber are a good choice.

LOL^^ it depends how the tech guys feel !!

About the calongo statement, everything can be modified or adapted along the way..though I dont have the exact context of the thread.
The best is to have a kinda final goal for the setup. I say the cam tells what kind of setup(DD, torque, track, etc..) you really wants; about the heads, its a $$ question, because everyone would running big dollar heads if not.

that FAST intake would do wonders to your setup! ..but good news for you; youre waiting time finally paid off!! The 102mm LSX intake is out replacing the old 92 with a 5+hp bonus! and cost about the same price!

You actually got very good advice. That's not necessarily the case in this thread.

One of the problems with good advice is that it may not be what one wanted to hear. That doesn't make the advice bad.

looking back on it after the thread i realized this but i still was unhappy that i didn't know that you buy the head first then spec a cam out after lol the next cam will either be a TR230/224 or i'll just buy some ported LS6 heads and find which cam will work best for them
