take a look at the t-rak cam, think that would be more your speed. but as far as the surging issues, i have a very good tuner in my neck of the woods and daily drove my m6 ms4 cam only z28 with stock 342s for almost a year and loved it !! You teach yourself how to prevent surging and bucking, however mine did very little to begain with.. Goodluck but i would go with a trak atleast.

Hey guys so i just got off the phone with TR and i was getting a cam reccomendation, i told them i needed a good street strip cam aimed more for the street with an occasional weekend racing. I also wanted a cam that would be easy to tune and not surge or buck. Well the guy there told me to get there Raptor cam. He said as long as i sent them my computer to tune i would not have any problems driving it daily to and from work and there would not be any surging. Have any of you guys used this cam or can anyone confirm what he is telling me?
Here is the cam specs for those of you who do not know them- Thunder Racings Raptor Cam- 236/242 - .615/.615 - 111lsa

Straight from Thunder Racing:
Thunder Racing Custom Camshaft
" RapTR" - 236/242 - .615/.615 - 111 lsa 3000-6800 RPM Power Band. Great mid-range & high RPM power. Requires computer tuning, 3600 converter on autos, 4.10's or greater depending on transmission. Works very well with nitrous and proper tuning. Due to the fast ramp rate of this camshaft, the use of 1.8 rockers is not recommended. Due to the extreme nature of this camshaft, piston to valve clearance must be verified when using modified cylinder heads
Doesn't really sound like what you're looking for, to be honest.

What wrong with choppy? That CAM will be fine. I have it. If it was an A4 I would say you would need a stall. M6 your fine. PTV is like 70-100. Plenty. Comp CAMs even told me they would run it in their car.

I have the TR 230-236 592-602 112lsa. It seems like a great cam that hardly bucks at all, but I do have 4.10's. Great cam, pulls hard and idles fairly choppy.I guess I'm getting old because I would not want to daily drive a cam this size, even though it is very streetable. For the street you want a cam that will have a nice broad torque curve. I would love to have the Raptor in my car but would not even think of daily driving it.Although I have a friend with a completely stock t/a and ms4,He loves it. GOOD LUCK
