I have a comp custom grind that I would trade for a TR224.LMK and I will shoot you specs.

Any close reverse split, high split lift with low lsa EXPL: 226/224, 110 lsa or 111lsa

The G5X-2 makes a killer nitrous cam. No one knows the specs on the X-3 so who knows. Do not use a reverse split. Put your lobe seperation on a 114.

Yeah, wouldn't a traditional split be better than a reverse? As Brent states.
The big split cams like the G5X's and the TSP231.237 are great spray cams. I know you can get the TSP231.237 on 114, but from what I've read, the 112 would do fine.

A split duration cam is one where the valve durations(intake/exhaust) are different, mine is a 228/232 meaning that the exhaust valves stay open longer than the intake valves. The intake valve duration is 228 degrees of crank rotation while the exhaust duration is 232 degrees of crank rotation. A cam like the TR 224 has equal duration 224 degrees intake duration/224 degrees exhaust duration. LSA is not lobe size it's lobe seperation angle. In an A4 an LSA of 114 degrees will produce an idle that is close to stock while a 112 LSA will be alittle more choppy.

My cam is a .273/385 on a .532/.542 lift. It is on a 114 LSA. Dur at 050 is 220/232. This cam pulls very hard on the big end but lacks in the lower torque curve. It is a "Nitrous cam that was intended to see heavy spray, but my plans have changed. I have never had nitrous on the motor to see how it actually performed. According to Comp, this would make awesome power above 3200. I know that it pulls very hard on the big end. My car picks up at least 25 mph after the 1/8th

I think SpeedTek's W1 cam is pretty hardcore on the dope. Cylinder pressures get pretty insane with that one.

Why not?? Cylinder pressures get so high that the gases get expelled quicker. And a longer intake duration will bring in a bigger charge.
I said a CLOSE reverse split like 226/224 or 228/226. As for the low lsa it's not for chopchop but to lower the powerband and produce High horsepower closer to the torque peak.Heck I might even go as low as 110.
I'll be using something similar on a 150 dry and I'll let you know how it does.

i think if you have higher duration on the intake side, cylinder pressure will be greater than what the exhaust side can expell. remeber that exhaust valves are smaller so more duration on that side will be helpful to get rid of the extra cylinder pressure.

Why not do what the W1 did and leave it on a 116? They were getting obscene numbers from a 150 shot- if I remember correctly. The tight cam held the cylinder pressure in and made phenominal power.

99 T/A A4 12 bolt 3:73s, 28" MT ET Drags, at the track I run a 150 HP shot on the bottle with an MMT M2 cam. Cam specs are as follows duration is 228/232 lift is .609/.598 on a 110 LSA. Last dyno runs were made the same day I went to the track 11-22-03. Dyno numbers N/A 377.1 RWHP 360.3 RWTQ. N20 507.6 RWHP 550.6RWTQ. Still slow but it went 7.061@93.46 on a 1.691 60ft. It was getting faster with each pass but on that pass I lost the 3-4 clutch pack. Mid 6's soon to come.

Why the tight LSA's? I've mentioned the power made by the W1 on a 116- and noone has commented on this. All of you keep posting cams with 112 or 110 Lsa's.
How is this beneficial to nitrous oxide?

my car had a 222/232 .542/.570 on a 114lsa. the car went from trapping the 1/4 mile at 116 mph to 120 mph with just that cam change(on the juice of course).

I cant comment on the LSA effects with N20 but as stated above go with a normal split with more exhaust duration than intake. If you want something more mild for the daily drive look into the 224/228 .581/.581 on 114 . If I am not mistaken this is what Cartek uses for their N20 packages. I have seen some KILLER numbers out of that package on the juice.
