Default What heads are these?

Okay, so first of all I consider myself pretty lucky since i didn't pay a dime for this head and i really would like to put it on my cam only car if i find another. The thing is i don't know how good of a head job this is since im realively new to the ls scene. My father owns an automotive shop called Westside Automotive that happens to be next door to the infamous MTI shop (Houston) off of dairy ashford and westheimer. So the story goes is that a new business came into their old building and came across a nice ls6 head and decided to hand it over to us. So my question to you guys is, is it worth hunting down another ported head to match this one, and is even a good idea to mix match heads (Sorry if its a really dumb idea)? I've noticed that there is some epoxy down the intake so i don't know if the port job was a very good one. Here are some pics and any details would be appreciated. Oh and im definitely sending it to a machine shop for it to get checked over.

They are 243's but could have come off of an LS6 or an LS2. The real LS6 version will have hollow stem sodium filled valves. Great head to use vs and LS1 head. Better port/chamber design plus a bump in compression.

Well the main thing i still have trouble understanding is do you have to flow bench the heads to make sure they are close to the same flow #s? what are the effects of having two heads where one might out flow the other?

I wouldn't use it without its mate. Hand ported heads vary widely in quality. MTI did some very nice stuff but depending on who did it and when there could be a signifigant difference from head to head.
