Like they said, it's always a good idea to check and can save you alot of headache if for some reason the cam is installed off a tooth and the like. But, with a stock long-block and correct install, you should have plenty of room with the 233/239!

I have a very similar cam, 234/238
...but, I'm running it in a stroked 383 LS6 block. With all supporting mods and a good non-slipping clutch, i put down 500 rear wheel HP!
But, based on "what i have read" I thought a 224/224 was basically the largest cam to be installed into a stock long block with stock heads, without the need to fly cut.
I measured my setup, with aftermarket JE pistons with reliefs (AFR 205 heads), and I'm pretty close on the PTV tolerances.
So definitely measure your setup!

224/224 i a small cam. there are guys runnign the tsunami cam from tsp on stock heads. also the ms4 is a huge cam and can be run with stock heads. always measure. i my self currently have the thp 233 239 on a 112 in my 2002 trans am. mods in sig. i made 408 401 with her. i need some better flowing heads i can expect a lot more. this cam is a monster and sounds great. you will not regret it at all. good luck with your choice and install. i will be posting a exhaust clip of it hear in the future... again good luck

I'm running tis cam with Dart non ported heads and I didn't have to fly cut the pistons. I went from a Comp 224/224- 581/581, and wish I would've got the 233/239 first. I really like this cam with my setup.

ls6 heads or PRC LS6 heads not sure yet but i got a circle d 3200 stall in right now. i might go a bit higher once i get the cam in like 3600-4000

ive been really considering about stepping up to a bit more cam as well, just because my car is not really a daily driver. i have the X1 230/227 591/571 112 and it drives soooo smooth its crazy. Defintiely a great for a fun little street car. I am considering the 233/239 cam from TSP as well. It will probably be the largest cam i would run though.
