Gen III Engine Builder on the East Coast
Go to fbodycentral.com to get started. Are you a member of the Eastern F-Body Association? There are a great number of us nearby you that are really into F-body's. When you get to fbodycentral.com, click on the forum link and check out our board!
Jason, the owner of F-body Central, and his crew at FBC really know their stuff - they are moving to a new and bigger shop soon, hopefully their number will stay the same. Give them a call.
We have the ability to do before and after dynos with the motor in. We also do full custom ls1 edit tuning. We also have another shop we use that we could dyno the motor before installation
Our labor charges are very competitive, if you buy the parts from us too we can give you a better deal overall. We will be able to beat any of our competitor's in the area on engine building.
We're currently moving into a new shop by mid january.. We could have you in for a motor job as early as top of February. Depending on what you are looking to do, it would probably take 3 weeks or so.
We have a few returning customers that want to come up from Baltimore/DC area to have some work done, so maybe you could car pool with them if you want to come up.
Let me know what you are looking for. PM me details and I can get back to you asap.

I wouldn't recommend your shop to anyone Matt, you have proven to me, to be unprofessional and unresponsive.

If you are willing to travel, you can see there are some good choices. I've seen stuff from East Side & More at the track, so I would consider those.
Mikey at Rapid also does motor swaps. I don't know if he works with a builder or not.
We build engines and also have access to an engine dyno if that is your desire. We also do turn key installations and tuning. We are in Reading, PA. PM or e-mail me with any questions.

My car (from SC) will be dynoed early next week and I will let you know how it goes. Give JD a call and tell him that George Culli said "Hi!"
They are doing my motor, and they have all that you need right in house.
Good luck.
Mike was willing to spend time talking thru the work he had done on it w/ me over the phone, even though I wasn't his customer. Very cool of him.
Tearing down the valvetrain for upgrade to dual springs, the quality of his workmanship is visibly excellent. Valvestem seals were on the right valves (orange ones on exh, black ones on intake), no RTV slop on the timing cover gasket, no nicks or dings anywhere. This guy pays attention to detail.

Other than resizing, these are the pictures I took about 2 minutes after I opened the boxes. The sealing surfaces are pretty much useless as is.
