Cam only automatic car with a stall runs 11.7?

The T-Rex is huge. My cam only torquer2 car went 11.8 @ 116, and it's a 6 speed. Something is up.

11.7 at our track is a 11.4 at any other track. Plus the stock intake is holding it back. It needs a retune by a reputable shop also.

I'd hate to buy a car knowing it needs this, this, and that to be right. Who puts a big donkey dick cam in a car with stock injectors? That is not a recipe for success. I'd pass unless the price is outrageously good.

You don't have to be made of money to buy a $250 set of injectors. If you can't afford that then you clearly are in the wrong hobby.

This car supposedly has 401 rwhp.

This car made 380: https://ls1tech.com/forums/11-second...ing-close.html

Why is the car with 21 less horsepower so much faster?

https://ls1tech.com/forums/11-second...-car-have.html

Look at the power output from these 11 second cars. For God's sake, look at post #27! It's a stalled bolt-on LT1!!! And it's in the 11s.

Something is wrong with this car, I would not buy it.

For every car you put up posting so on and so forth there are cars with more HP running slower. You can put two different drivers in the same car and come up with 2 opposite end numbers. My buddies Z has 413 cam only and best he has been is a 13.2, but that was his first time down the track in the car. I can drive it a full second quicker. The car is a nice car priced to sell. Does it need a little bit of TLC? Yes but what car for that price doesn't.

It's really not hard to drive an automatic car. Put it in drive and go. I'm posting cars that are comparable aka cam only automatic cars. Being an automatic, it negates driver ability.

Obviously, we have a case of someone trying to defend a friends setup. This is common. However, we all need to keep in mind that there's some serious money in the setup, but some serious supporting mods overlooked... what's to say other things weren't overlooked? Like a good tune... fuel system... timing chain... oil pump... correct installed height on the valve springs (if they were even checked)...

All I'm saying is that it's obvious some small things were overlooked, but what other small things could have been missed? A lot of supposedly small problems can turn into one big *** headache.

Just because its a auto you still need ability to drive it.

I agree that we are disagreeing.

I have only met him twice and talked to him very little. I have already mentioned the car needs a retune and other things. A reason not to buy it? That is up to the buyer. If this car is still for sale in a few months then i will be buying it.

I also agree that we are disagreeing.

I will agree that a certain level of skill is required to drive an automatic, but not nearly what is required to drive a 6 speed, as I do both. It's a whole lot easier to drive my 408 with a glide than my M6 cam-only car.

I will digress now. We have both put in our .02 about this car.

Maybe we'll do this again sometime in another thread. A good debate not punctuated by "pwned" pictures and cuss words is refreshing on here.
