If it was me I would torquer v2. there are several guys on here that have the torquer and they love them. If it will be a daily driver the MS3 may be a bit too big. I see that you want to mill the heads for better compression I am no expert or certain but you may run into PTV clearance with either cam but much more likely with the MS3. I hope more experienced people chime in to help but you could always call TSP and tell them your goals and they can certainly advise you on which direction to go.

o dam i didn't even think of the clearance issue i guess i can just go with some 5.3 heads to get that clearance and better compression a guy on here the 228r might actually be a better choice what do u think

If you go with the prc 5.3s TSP will have the valves recessed for a better fit with the ms3, if ordered for that particular cam in mind.

I would go with the Torquer V.2 for a DD,should get you in the 11's with the supporting mod's you already have.

I was picking between the torquer series and the 228r. I picked the 228r with some cnc'd ls6 heads with a little bit bigger valves.

V.2, keeping the torque lower in the RPM range will be a lot more enjoyable in a dd.

If it is truely a daily driver, go with the Torquer V.2. Yes you can DD an MS3 but the Torquer V.2 would be much better, but then again you may also look into the 228r. If you pick a cam for the real use of the car and not just numbers you will be much happier. Since you are going with TSP, give them a call and talk to them.

I don't know yet since I haven't finished the project yet. The headers came back today so it should be running by this weekend. How long until you invest in the cam? I'll know in a week or so how it drives and I will let you know.

If it's a DD i would look at the 228. That cam with supporting mods and good driver should put you in the low 11 second range if the car isn't low on power to start. I have two V2 cars one A4 and one M6 and I would go with a 228 for just as much power but better drive ability and under the curve power.

I had similar mods and a ms3 in a car one time and wasnt all that impressed when I got it together and drove it. Between the 2 cams you are picking from Id do the torquer in a heartbeat.

I'll say the torquer V2. Just check the PTV clearance because I still had to flycutt with my milled heads and cam.

Who did your tune?

Daily driveablility is not comprimised in my opnion at all with the Ms3, and i have 4.10's. I found a good tuner and have zero issues with drivablilty and 410rwhp. With stock 243 heads

For what its worth... Slap a ms3 in there with your stock heads, and run all over a Torq V2. with heads. Then wait to get a set of ported AFR 205's, least thats my plan

Well your theory sucks I did 413/392 cam only with my V2 with stock untouched 241's.

I would choose a tr228 over a v2 based on some pretty decent opinions I have heard from LSX mechanics.

I have told him this in two different threads. There is a car here with a 226/226 patriot cam that is making 390 to the wheels that will walk my 413 hp car due to the power under the curve.
