well it is only half tuned so idle is right around 1050, there is still a couple of hours of tuning, from what ive heard and read these cams normally idle around 900, ill just have to wait and see what the final rpm idle will be. its a speed density tune as well.

i will have to say though i am anxious to see the ole bitch run.
thinking the cam may be too big (t-rex) for what i am wanting to do with the LS swap in my Camaro.
but we will have to see.

Just a fiy. i have/had a trex cam in my 02 and it sounds great/ ran great. 400rwhp. but it is hard on ****. real hard. the cam has been in the car less that 6000 miles. and never raced (car only has 10000 miles on it.) i had the car start back fireing though the intake. figure a spring broke but i figured wrong. the dam bottom of the lifter broke in pieces. just tore it appart today and found the problem. **** suck. well ur car sounds great and hope u have better luck than me. and ya i had my car tuned by bluecat and it idle at 900 rmp. like i said good luck.

ya i am going to get it fixed this week. haven dicieded if i am going back to the trex or not. yes it did **** up the cam. which sucks. the car only ran maybe 20 sec after it started back firing. and i shut it down and trailored it home. the car wasnt running over 3000rpm when it happen either. thats one reason i am on here is to find a different cam maybe and just get ideas. but who knows. i may go back to the same thing. ya i drove the car at least 100 miles a day. but mostly highway driving. well i did drive the car hard kinda but no harder than i drove a stock lt1 car and it handled the abuse for 5 years before it spun 1 and 2 bears at the race track. but i didnt bet the ls1 either. did maybe 2 burnouts.

Well I hope everything works out for you, there is alot of good cams out there, the trex is considered radical as some would put it but like always **** happens sometimes. Good luck and thanks for the info.

Well so far I haven't had any problems with the T Rex. I've put about 3,000 miles on the car since i bought it, and i go wot all the time, pounding thru the gears. I know my buddy, the previous owner, put way many more miles on it with that cam too.

If anything, my rear end doesn't like it, cuz it's whining all the time LOL
