I went with stock ls1 lifters just ones with lower mileage, the pushrods are 7.4 comp cams hardened. i used stock parts and sizes so that i wouldn't run into these problems.

i know it's obvious but somethin is wrong. here's my vid of my first and second start up with a 227/224 cam and new 241 heads with new pushrods, lifters, timing chain, oil pump and pulley i had to keep it idling at almost 1000rpm at first so it wouldn't die but once i got the hang of it i could rev it only to 800rpms and i was golden.

this was with stock manifolds and cats a stock stall on a tune that was only meant for a LS6 manifold as a mod lol so really a stock tune engine lasted 300 miles till it hydro-locked lol oh well time to get a better engine. good luck to you OP!!

your pushrod length is not the issue, there is no lash to set, just bolt them down and go. id be looking twords a compression test. and checking out that injector. either swap it out without with another one and see if the problem follows, borrow one of the same size from a buddy or if you have access to tuning software you will be able watch the duty cycle.

I've checked the compression and its getting good compression so my next step is to check the injector. been so busy with work that i haven't had much time to work on her. I'm going to switch the injector with another one to see it could have possibly been stuck open. i'll keep yall updated.

I'll pull the rails in the morning but in the mean time I did some research and some people have had a cylinder misfire because of a faulty o2 sensor even without them throwing a code. has anyone else heard of this?

After switching the injectors i finally got the code to jump from cylinder 1 to cylinder 3 so i've got the injector coming in today gonna put it in and see what happens
