Default Need Cam Help!!!!!!!!

I have a stock ls1 about to put a cam in. The cam is a a Xer 287 Hr cam. Should i put it in my stock engine with stock heads are get another cam. Comparing my cam to other cams from speed shops it's about the same size. Like the Raptr and Ms4 cam. I want a cam only set up with maybe some gears. 4.10s. PLEASE HELP

you shouldn't have any issues I had the one below it the XER281HR in my LS1 and had no issues. Also it was a blast. Also, that cam is identical to Horsepower Engineering's S cam if you want a little more info on it.

Thanks I looked them up and Vengenance also have the same specs in there gx5 cam but they say it's good in 6.0.

You already bought the cam it looks like. It's usually recommended to ask questions first than buy after you do your research. Since you're doing it backwards just throw it in

lol yea i didn't buy it. It was a gift. But yea i might just throw it in. I just don't want to be slow.

Do you have any other bolt on like headers, intake you won't see all the cams potential with out these, thats my .02 cents.

I agree,going full intake and exhaust would make any cam breathe alot better. "other than an awesome tune"

Yeah, that cam will do well with supporting mods. Regardless there will be a power jump over stock. I assume you are running a T56?

yea i'm running a t56 and i have the texas speed headers, but a stock intake.
