Good Cam for my set up

I know yall are tired of hearing "what cam do i need" and people not searching but i have done some searching and though i had decided on a cam(MS4) but now I'm not sure if its what i want so some help will be greatly appreciated

ok my plans are yank 3600, LT headers, 3.42 or 3.73 gears not sure yet, heads intake but will be after my cam is installed, and a 100 shot. i don't need to DD this car but i want it to be street-able. i will mostly be driving on the street with the occasional Track run

by the way i have the cam that came out of my truck which is a 222/224 on a 112 but i kinda wanted to go bigger but i want a good power band and not just a peak number

Go custom. I regret not doing it the first time. Get it matched to your mods/future mods and you'll be much happier

Iv got the MS4 and love it, tons of power up top with the 6 speed. At Idle sounds tuff, and at WOT screams! If it was an Auto Id have a 4000 Stall and 4:10s..

Being a 6 speed..Monster Stage 3 with 4:56s..thats my set up..

But nothing beats a custom cam specd out to your car and your wants/needs!

i will have to check out a custom cam, im looking to make good all around power not just up top

I was in the same boat when building my LS6 shortblock after frying my stock LS1....I was previously on a Torquer2 with GTP stg 2+ heads and ported FAST 92/92 and the cam was the weak link in my combo. Pat G spec'd me a helluva "all-around" cam that's matched to my new combo and I couldn't be happier. You get good results with off-shelf cams when going just cam only...but they can't compare to the all around performance of a custom matched to your combo and desired driveability, shift pts, etc.
