Quote: We've already hashed this out several times. I'm not getting into why you are wrong yet again. You have all your fans here to jump to your side, but on other forums you were exposed. Maybe if your reverse splits carry so well, you could have another explanation to why Chris's car more or less fell on it's face on the back end of the quarter mile compared to other cam only cars?

Look at what EPS is doing. Finally someone is getting these cams right.
yes my old cam did not pull as much on the top end but show me someone else who pulled even close to my 60 330 or 1/8 mile times...

it is a trade off...you should know that...no one said the 230 cam was going to make more peak than a trex 24x cam...

reverse splits have there place...and the el torro is barely a RS just in ramp rates...

25-30mph backends are pretty standard in all but the fastest cars and a lot of the turbo drag radial stuff. It's not really a HP thing.

I never said your car wasn't impressive, I just don't feel that cam was optimal.

Well i have a ms3 that i am getting rid of to get the el-torro but with alittle more exhaust duration so i can do heads and make better power. Its all about the set up and what your goals are for your car that matters. Chris's car f-ing moves and i dont care what anyone else says. He has it set up right and it does what he wants.

PIB I usually agree with you but that was one of the the most impressive cam only cars on here. All the more so because of small it was....Yeah more cam, gear, stall yada it would have gone faster but for what it was it hauled the bacon....

Quote: Viperetr2, just post your vid where you ran 10's..lol.. **** hauled ***** down the track!! i run the X1 230/227 and have no complaints at all. it drives soo smooth its crazy. i can start my car up anytime, barely any surging, doesnt buck, doesnt die out, and i can drive with my A/C on all day.
Haha, thanks man but I don't like that vid. When I get one where I actually launch the car maybe I'll post it. I've been playing with my roll bar camera mount so maybe I'll post one soon.

Yep, I'm so wrong that I have 230 duration cams in mid >high 10s and 427 lbs of trq by 3500rpm.
Say hello to Brett for me, you are inputing zero tech, just regurjutating someone elses falacy.
Cam design is not all about peak Hp or peak rpm. That is what sells.

my car is still untuned, but so far its seems to run fairly strong compared to other modded / cammed ls1's.

I was explained in my post right after yours specs are online. There are other 230/230 grinds on the market, mine uses 2 different types of lobes, that is what makes it a Reverse split.

That would be a great cam on a +3 with as early an ICL as your octane will allow. Don't let Pred talk you out of it.

That is between me and King Nothing, if he wishes he can divulge his side in a separate thread.
