Default ? on polluter cam

to start it off with a better understanding for you. Currently I have round 120K mileage. SLP longtube headers and loudmouth II exhaust, SLP underdrive pulley, MSD ignition coils, and slp intake, 92mm FAST intake manifold and throttle body on my 2000 firebird formula. My goal is to pull out a 500hp street car, now ive decided on the trick flow 220cc head and polluter cam package. now with the application, would there be any problems i might run into, say considering the mileage currently on the vehicle, or what else i could do to see numbers close to 500. i am not a fan of turbos or superchargers, not my thing. or if you have any info bout this setup that would help me out?

I doubt you'll see 500 but get your heads from TEA and have them do a "hand job" on those heads to squeeze out a few more ponies They can make them flow about as good as the CNC ones. I doubt you can mill with that cam but if you could that would help and TEA should know that too.

What are your Goals of the car who cares about dyno numbers Track number are where its at. But i think the 220s and that cam would be a stout combo, but probly not 500 rwhp.

It should be a solid 475 RWHP no doubt, but 500 is tough to hit.

I'd also have enough $$$ laying around for a new shortblock if I was you. Your stock one is probably going to be on borrowed time.

Stock internals with that many miles will crap the bed before the end of the first pass. New short block for sure.

yeah the money shouldnt be an issue, that was my biggest thing though about the mileage, didnt want to start building on a block with that many miles if it was going to run me into alot more issues and costly expenses. But can't I just keep the block, strip the internals out, replace with new and build from there? either way my goal is to get into the 11's, breaking 10 would be nice but i'm content with 11.
