Default am i reving to high??

with my cam only setup i have the limiter set at 6700 and i shift at 6500 im going to the track in the next few days and my 3rd gear tops out at 115 at 6700 and it will kill my time since ill have to shift and then its over would it be ok to raise the limiter to 7000 cause then my 3rd will go to 120 at 7k i figured ill be trapping anywhere between 117-120 would it be ok to spin it that high for the pass stock bottom end in a 2000?

it will probably handle it at least a few times, but what if it doesn't I guess... Rod bolts would make me feel slightly better. someone will give a definitive answer I'm sure though

Yep, rod bolts will be the only problem. If one says peace out, go ahead and be ready to replace everything. I've known plenty who have turned their stock bottom end 7k and were fine.

I wouldn't constantly do it. Like everyone else is saying, rod bolts maybe a BEARING. Just be prepared.
