Default difference between the Texas speed y pipe and the Pacesetter y pipe

Is there any difference between the y pipes?

Curious which is better?

Texas speed has a better merge - where the two pipes come together as one. If you are running a hi flow cat back exhaust like a SLP loadmouth, you will have a problem with your exhaust resonating - rattling with the pacesetter y pipe. The Texas speed pipe still has a little rattle, but not nearly as bad - almost not noticeable.

Here is a link to a picture of the Pacesetter ORY...

Here is a thread with pictures of TSP's Revised ORY...

The differences are obvious. Not to mention the Texas Speed ORY is actually less expensive than the shitty Pacesetter version.

My brother's 02 SS currently has a Pacesetter ORY on it and just a couple hours ago he ordered a TSP ORY to replace it.

I also am running the SLP Loadmouth. I have been told the resonating noise problem is only associated with free-flowing non-catted pacesetter. Texas Speed corrected this problem by offering a simular design but with a better merge pipe. On the other hand, Texas Speed catted version will totally eliminate the rattle/resonation while restricting the exhaust flow. I am currently upgrading my Texas speed y-pipe with a flowmaster 4" merge and 4" cutout. Many say this will answer all our problems.

Does your car resonate inside?

Cats will help a tone it down a lot and will not cost you much in power...LM is a loud bitch with headers....I would cat it to make sure you don't end up on the couch.....
