Default Need Torque Specs for these Two Oil Pan Bolts...

I need the torque specs for the two very last oil pan bolts. They are the ones that are the closest to the ground, pretty much right where the tranny butts up with the block. They have 10mm heads, and seem kinda loose. I think the threads might be stripped. Thanks!

Those small thread ones are super easy to strip out...I'm not exactly sure why they are even there since they dont seem to do much at 9 lb/ft.

I NEVER EVER EVER EVER torque those......I snaped one the first time I removed the oil pan and had to play "chace the broken bolt out of the block". Now I just take a 3/8 ratchet and snug them lightly. There are so many other good bolts on the oil pan (all the 8mm x 1.25s around the edge and the two big 10mm X 1.5s from the bell housing) that besides keeping the holes clean (keep dirt out), they don't really even need to be there.

I heard theres a certain way the oil pan goes on and you need some kind of tool from GM is this correct?

If not which I hope..... can I just throw it on there with a new gasket?

there is a tool, but if you put the tranny on the engine first, then the bellhousing will act as the tool (line everything up).

I just take a 3/8 ratchet and snug them up. I did this on all the bolts on a few cars and have never had any problems.
