Default 224 camshaft only.

Hey guys I am looking for actual HP gains using a 224 cam only. Thunder says 40-50 HP with stock heads, TSP web site says 30-35 HP. And the guy on LS1 how to posted a dyno sheet from Thunder showing 63 HP! So I have a Comp grind and it's 224/224 .581/.581 on a 114 with XER lobes. The car is a 02, M6, 241 heads (stock) with all of the bolt ons. I am making 363 RWHP/ 370 RWT right now the car runs 8.40s @ 86 MPH in the 1/8 and 13.40s @ 107 in the 1/4. and gets 28-29 MPG on the hi way. So I am just looking for guys that have ran that cam only combo and ask what kind of gains did you get? HP, ET, mileage.

the highest dyno number ive witnessed is 394 rwhp with a 224 cam and bolt ons, stock heads/ls6 intake.

my personal cars have run 12.0-12.40s with 224 cam only. one was an a4 one was an m6. the a4 was faster.

the thunder racing 224 cam is a different lobe than other 224 cams. the TR224 will perform better than other 224 cams.

224s will vary slightly. A comp grind vs tr grind would have an almost identical graph on stock heads.
