Is this normal after a cam install ??? Just installed my MS3 and prc duals today, removed egr/air, put on the ls6 intake...
got her fired up everything seems fine, good oil pressure from the melling 296 etc..
But my check engine light is blinking?
I'm assuming this is normal since it is UNTUNED correct ?

checked the wires and connections on the coils and the injectors, everything seems in place?
The weird thing is, the SES light will blink and then stay steady for about 5 miles then blink, steady etc...
wth ?

did you change the knock sensors? or un plug the harness from the sensors themselves? sometimes, the knock sensors, if bad will produce so much false knock it will set the SES light for a random multiple misfire, which is what a blinking SES light is. if its constant on one or more cylinders, it will just throw a solid SES, but if its on random cylinders at random times, it will blink.

Do you think it has anything to do with the fact that I have Poly motor+trans mounts?
as of now it seems like your typical untuned big cam.
surges/bucks/ slobers etc..
doesn't seem to misfire if it's sitting there idling, but when I'm driving it will start blinking and then go away as strangely as it came.
i doubt it, but when knock sensors go bad, they tend to pick up and retard timing like a ****. the excessive loping of the cam can set them off and set a random multiple misfire blinking SES light.

Maybe I'll just take it to get it tuned and let them deal with it.
I'm going to get it scanned tomorrow and nail down if it's a "multiple misfire"
or misfire on a specific cylinder.

yep mine did the same thing. once you get a tune you'll be fine i suspect. mine hydrolocked when i drove into a puddle that was deeper than i thought and that was it for the engine, that happened back in january
