I found the problem the misfire!

These are Trickflows "Upgraded Spring" good for a .670 lift and Im only running a VRX5 cam (236/238 .601/.605 113 LSA) that I bought as a package in February of 2009 from Vengeance. In March of 2009 StraightLine installed it and I ran with it all last summer (only on the nice weekends) and for a few times this year. All in all I have about 5-6k miles! My supporting mods are in my SIG. I guess Im a little disappointed but......

How does this happen?
Will Trickflow honor it and send me new springs?
Should I pull the heads?
What are the chances of me having other weak springs?
Sorry for the questions, I would appreciate any help here thanks!

Thats cool you figured out the problem hopefully all goes well.
It would be stupid not to check the others. I doubt it broke for no reason.
Just b/c you bought the heads "assembled" from whoever, doesnt necessarily mean the guy there knew what he was doing.
Whenever buying heads assembled, they should ALWAYS be taken apart and checked by someone who knows what they are doing to make sure the springs were setup CORRECTLY before installed...IMO.
Good luck
...and I didn't know you were still alive thought you might have moved to Mexico or something...you get a new phone number or girlfrend

zeke I would still compression that cyclinder...you might have bent a valve...how much pressure do you think that inner spring is helping close that valve...might have smacked the piston...if it were me I would at least check the compression or do a leak down...
Well I couldnt take the damn spring OFF!!!!
I dont know what happened but if you can see in the picture the top of the second spring seat is flush with the tip of the valve and the valve seat is not concave anymore it looks more flat as oppose to the first valve where the tip of the valve sticks out just a little and the seat is more concave. Some how the retainers wont let go! Like if the are seized to the seat. I think that when the Rocker was hitting the valve it was slamming the top since it didnt have and spring pressure keeping it close to rocker. YOU can see what im talking about on the second picture where the rocker on the left looks like it is on the tip of the valve and on the right the tip of the valve is lower than the left! What do you guys think? How can I remove the springs safely?
PS Thanks for your help Paul!
here is what the spring caused! I guess Im still lucky and it could of been worse! If I send the head back to TEA do you guys think they'll replace the valve for me? This sucks man!
