With the exception of 1 broken lifter, and 3 fucked up cam lobes nothng happened. Actually on the cylinder with the broken lifter an intake valve bent ever so slightly, it still seats 100% on it's seat and passed our compression test with flying colors. I don't see how this car running isn't believable?

Either way though this car is now on the road and driving flawlessly!
I believe you

Sounds believable...

Lol, yeah, remember how it ran for 100-200 miles just fine on an MSFail4 cam? Bent valve = not 100% running just fine, but that is just my opinion.

This ship has sailed and seems to be headed back to port for a refill on failure.

Be sure and let us know when all the regrind metal makes its way into a vital part or passage and you "don't know wtf happened".

And how would you know if the intake valve was bent ever so slightly? Did you pull the head & check it that way or could you tell with the valve cover off? Please tell us what you did to find the EVER SO SLIGHTLY bent valve. Either its not bent at all or you have a cylinder with no compression. Sounds like you guys shouldnt even be trusted working on Nissans.

A bent valve can't seat properly... a compression test may compare reasonably good but a leakdown test will fail.

Nothing happened does not equal 1 lifter, 1 valve, 3 lobes...

How did you f.u. the 3 lobes...?

Is this the same person testing it that chose the first set of pushrods and reground cam?

Lol wow guys!
The heads were pulled off, and the motor was out of the car, no idea how the bent valve was found/checked, as I wasn't at work.

Of course the oil was changed!!!!

Don't know about the future, but it's running right now!

I for one am glad to hear it's running again, and I hope it stays that way. It sucks that you guys had to learn the hard way, but that's life.

So what youre tellin us is the heads were removed & a bent valve was discovered but because it was just bent ever so slightly you decide to just run with it instead of replace it? Super geniuses indeed I wouldnt let you guys check the air in a tricycle.

It's pretty easy to replace a valve. If the heads were off that was retarded to not fix it right there. Plus, how do you know it was bent? You can't go off that old saying "Good enough for government work" when it involves precision moving parts.

You seem to be hiding something. Were not sure, but its pretty easy to find out when you wait a month and start asking about being really down on power. But not for someone you know. Ya, just someone you heard about that works with someone you know. This thread will be remembered for years to come. I promise you. Its already been linked on facebook and a few other forums. Your lack of participation is just going to make it worse.

Get some of your LS1 co-workers in here. I want to see what they really know.

"Looks like the cam material wasn't proper hardness."

Especially after it had been reground not once but twice.
