oh dang i never realized that i didnt tell people what it was, it was my timing chain and it was a double roller also, went with an ls2 chain this time, lets hope it last longer than 35,000 miles like the double roller

My $$ is on the rollers out of the chain. In that case, the gears are toast. NO point in taking a chance for only a few $$.
Over rev can get the valves kissin the pistons...Doesn't bode well for the chain, either. I'm sure this has never happened.
