Default Motor Decision!!!

i have a 2001 SS M6 that has right under 130,00k on it, you guys think its worth putting a good set of ported heads and a mild cam on motor with that much mileage? or should i just wait and build an entire motor from scratch?

You can get a new shortblock for a fairly good price if you hunt around just a little bit these days. I wouldn't hesitate on heads and cam with 130,000 on the clock. Some people would however. You are basically getting a new top end during that process. Only thing left are really rods and pistons for a "new" bottom end theorhetically.

Honestly miles would not scare me for this type of mod. But like orangepeel said you gonna be basically getting a new top end by doing that!
