Default HP missing with g5x2 cam

dyno tuned today, and my #'s ended up being 426.8 rwhp and 381.6 rwtq

mods are g5x2 cam and patriot stage 2 ls6 heads UD pully full exhaust with gutted cats and a twin flow intake. Stock TB and car already came with ls6 block and intake. what to try? tq seems real low.

parts to try/ swap:

vararam instead of twinflow
straight pipes vs gutted cats
cooks headers vs TPIS
ported throttle body maybe?

planned mods are mezire H20 pump and fast intake, and AFR heads, but waiting on #'s for those first.

I would like to make atleast 445-450rwhp with these heads first before I do the new mods. I know its a big power producing cam and people have achieved 420's with cam only, i cant believe the heads aren't giving me any extra power

any suggestions where my #'s are ....TQ especially!

Ok, something's off. Try a ported TB, but there's something still off.

Those numbers do seem a little low, for whatever reason it seems like the Patriot heads have not made super high numbers with the LG cams.

What type of exhaust is a "full exhaust"? Obviously you are still using the stock pipes if you are running gutted factory cats. I think getting the exhaust fixed will help alot. My cutout is worth 15rwhp and 17rwtq over my B&B triflow. So, my numbers thru exhaust are almost identical to yours.. and you loose more thru the IRS than I do thru my live axle. So.. those numbers aren't too bad.

Are you still using the factory exhaust manifolds? Or do you have your gutted "main" cats attached to an aftermarket header? I gutted my pup cats and home ported the factroy '01 manifolds and ran like that for a while. Then when installing my TTS headers and factory main cats I still gained 28hp/23tq with the main rear cats and headers versus the modified factory setup.

Got a dyno you can post with air/fuel?

Werd...get real headers, a ypipe and a high flowing exhaust...or get a nice corsa for street and for dyno/track get a 3" cutout...I produced similar numbers w/my Macs, ory, and corsa...made 415hp 405tq w/stg 2mti heads and x1, put on a cut out and went 436 and 420rqtq...u have to let these motors breathe on the exhaust side or your just wasting money and hp.....period.

How do you know for sure that the heads are the problem?? Like everyone else said i would look at your exhaust setup. I did read a post here not too long ago about a guy gaining HP switching from those TPIS headers to Kooks. I think your "parts to try" list is a good place to start.

I'd loose the gutted cats, they have to be causing some turbulence and that will hamper the effectiveness of the x-pipe. IMO

Sorry, but the post should read HP missing with patriot ls6 heads, you can hear every exuse from the patriot pushers but what it comes down to is they are over rated and dont perform, How many posts do we have to read about disapointed dyno and track results. here is a link to another post with 6 different cars all with dissapointed results
https://ls1tech.com/forums/dynamometer-results-comparisons/118174-obsssd-s-pp-stg-ii-ls6-g5x3-dyno-graph.html

I know now everyone will say Im an *** clown and dont know what Im talking about but put 2 and 2 together people. There 5.3s are a good head for the price but be suprised with lower than average dyno's. I guess you get what you pay for. I feel you would hve made more power with a set of stock ls6 heads and I think alot of people would agree. Not a bash just a good educated guess

George did the same cam with stock ls6 heads and the mezire water pump and got 436/407ish with stock heads
What type of exhaust setup did that car have?

gutted factory cats are terrible to use on a performance car. Terrible flow shape, and definitely cause turbulence inside the exhaust system.

This was on a 2002 Z06. Full bolt-ons including Kooks, offroad x-pipe, w/pump, pulley, borla stingers, etc.
