+2 on Trex. If you want cam only. I personally Like the vindicator (240/244). But I've heard rumors of a Trex killer out there also.

All those cams mentioned are pretty much going to feel the same when you push the pedal through the floor. I ran a big 244/248 cam and it rolled out just like all the others above.

Well the fastest cam only car runs a Trex cam. The car was definetly lite and had a low gear 4.56 car was made for the track. So take that as you will. Dont think there is any Trex killer. Maybe PTV clearance killers lol

It is probably not called the T-Rex killer. I am also willing to bet that if it is an EPS cam Geoff would never name it something like that after being associated with Thunder Racing for so long.

I have the polluter cam installed and it does pull like crazy from 4500 on up. Gas mileage I have no idea, I don't care. I have it matched up with a 4k stall.

Yes sir I have the ms3 cam. Sounds awsome at idle. But dont have any power until like 4000 rpm it seems like. But I was running 3.42 gears and have now switch to 4.11 hopefully that will help

Just my $.02
RIGHT way to do it.

WRONG way to do it.

I'm having a hard time believing the polluter cam is any good down low. When you guys say its made to make power down low, what exactly do you mean?

The only one with Violent in its description!!

Thunder Racing Custom Camshaft
T-ReX v.2 - 242/248 - .608/.612 - 110 lsa 3500-6700 RPM Power Band. Violent mid-range & high RPM power. Requires computer tuning, 4000 converter on autos, 4.30's or greater depending on transmission. Works very well with nitrous and proper tuning. Due to the fast ramp rate of this camshaft, the use of 1.8 rockers is not recommended. Due to the extreme nature of this camshaft, piston to valve clearance must be verified when using modified cylinder heads.

I don't think it makes GREAT power down low, but for the size of the cam I think it makes good power down low compared to other BIG cams.

Maybe you should ride in one of these big cam cars to see what you think before you buy the biggest bumpstick you can get your hands.
