Default Pat G high torque cam

I was reading the cam guide and came upon the Pat G "Torque coming out of my ears thread". The cam he was using was 224/228 .637/.639 110LSA (+0). Base on his results, it seems like it might be a good cam for my 6.0

I'll be running a stock 6.0, with nothing more than a set of headers in my 66 pickup. My short term plan is to keep the motor mostly stock aside from the cam/springs/tune. Probably be running a ~3600-4000 stall.
How do you think this cam will be for my application? Mostly a street machine, but would like to track it occasionally in summer. I am considering running some spray on track days. Thanks

I'm sure that cam was speced for exactly his compression and heads. I doubt you'd need that much lift on stock heads. You might want some advance ground into it as well, if you're not running as much compression.

I'd go with the EPS 222/226 off the shelf cam for a TQ monster 6.0 myself.

224/228 600 lift is pretty common over here normally see around 300kw/390 hp in l92's its got a reasonable chop very good for a daily driver.

ive never officially weighed it. Its all steel, alum fuel cell, and no bed floor. Based on what others have reported, somewhere between 35-3800lbs. Some weigh less, as mine is a shortbed stepside its on the lighter end.

More info on the trunnion bearing thing please.

I run a similar cam to the Pat G cam with lower lift...224/228 .581/.588 110 + 0 ... with a set of TEA heads milled to 59 CC chanmbers which makes the compression 11.4 to 1 engine makes 350 ft. lbs. of TQ @ 3000 rpms and peaks at 418 ft. lbs. of TQ @ 4800 rpms...HP is 452..great street cam that makes plenty of muscle under the curve has a good lope and still gets 27 MPG on the highway...been running it now for 85,000 miles and really like it..

I looked at your setup a couple of times now slt200mph, but one of the issues I see is that I'm on stock 317's, putting my compression somewhere around 9.4:1 if I remember the stock figures correctly. I imagine my gains would come up a good chunk lower than yours with over a point less compression.
