G5X2 on a 250-300 shot?

Will it do OK? I plan on forging the block and spraying it but I dont know if the X2 Cam can do it?

Yeah, you'll do fine. The G5X2 along with most LG Cams love the spray. What did you order it on, a .112, or .114 LSA? A 250-300 shot is rather large however, there are better cams out there if your going for a strictly Nitrous setup.

Well its on 112 LSA. The thing is that I ordered a forged block with all the Lunati Goodies and even a forged crank. The block can probably handle around a 330 shot. But Ill spray the cam anyways. Thanks. BTW: Any thoughts of what it might run?

MTI S2 Heads
G5X2 Cam
250 shot of TNT
Moser 12 Bolt
Fully Built Tranny
Yank TP 4400 Stall <---Might change that

Well you should definately be in the 10s. Which is pretty bad ***, but if you had gone on a .114LSA you might have been a little better off. You would be able to get that bad boy to idle ok (A4), and you would have add a bit less overlap to make full use of that big shot of nitrous. Sounds like a kick *** setup.

Exhaust Flow is crucial to N20 setups. You want a cam with lots of exhaust duration (The X2 has lots) and heads with VERY good exhaust ports. TEA makes some great N20 heads, so does Cartek.

Thanks guys. But who makes the X2? I think my MTI S2 Heads will work fine wont they?

LG Motorsports makes the X2, I am sure your heads will be fine. The only reason I mentioned TEA and Cartek is because they have both done some research for N20 with their exhaust ports. I have seen some freakish results with a small shot on their heads.
