Just to make your choice a little tougher... I like my G5x3 cam from LG Motorsports. Here is a link to my results thread:

https://ls1tech.com/forums/dynamomet...-cam-only.html

This cam does NOT like to be driven under 1500 RPMs though. However, it is easy to manage with the 6-speed.

Can all you guys please look at your graphs and post for me what rpm your car makes 250rwhp at and what the torque is at that rpm???

I am trying to decide on the cam....I'd like to find one making 250rwhp around 3000rpm.

Most are at 3600rpm....even my supercharged Mustang was at 3600rpm, but had about 350 ftlbs there too. So this is helping me gauge the power to be had.

My friend is highly recommending the Comp 54-444-11 for it's low end power...but I am yet to see ANY dyno graphs of one.

Thanks....it's gonna be a long winter....

My VRx4 Makes 250 by 3,600, 180 @ 3k. When dealing with N/A set ups your relying on the atmosphere to make the power and its a whole different deal. What PSI were you running at that rpm range?

If you go for BIG cams, you need the compression bump to help with the efficency of the motor.

I ran between 8 to 10 psi with the Stang...so I couldn't tell you what psi it was making at 3600rpm. Stang made 442 rwhp SAE, and 420ish ftlbs I believe.

I am not expecting to make 440 rwhp with just a cam in the Vette...but I'd like to know that the power down low is similar. (life would be good!!)

I lugged my car down to 1200rpms plenty of times never bucked. hell I was able to pull out w just lifting the
clutch n it still didn't buck. w tune was spot on tho. and that was on 111Lsa also

you should be able to hit 400rwhp with a 224 cam and all bolt ons on a M6. Too many people forget that 400rwhp without the newest, latest greatest cam.

I made 395 rwhp stock heads with my MTI X1 230/227 with a 3200 stall and 2.73.

Also i cant dog the big cams like the MS3... just watch some of TRMIN8R old videos of his MS3 killing mean *** cars on the street. SICK!!

Appreciate all the help getting it put together man.

Agreed!

Matter a fact a guy in my class tonight has a cummins with 550+rwhp and some god awful amount of torque.. he decided to race me from a 50 roll on I85. Starting in second it was no contest its damn quick for a truck though... It pulls great up top.. With the 4.10 in soon im sure it will have all the pull in the bottom end my nittos can handle. As for now, it pulls off the line fine and is a blast to drive everyday... Alvin @ pcm for less did a great job on the tune, ill post the graph up shortly.

I am currently running a 228r with PRC stage II 5.3L heads in my Rx-7. I do still get a bit of bucking at 1400 RPM and maxed out at 420WHP and 380tq. This is with my own noob tuning and I'm sure there is much more drivability and power in there but I will say that the car is a blast to drive. :-)

I think that my exhaust is holding me back. I have JRT LT's going into dual 3" metallic cats into a 3" y all the way back. If you have a better flowing exhaust I bet that the 228r could get you to 400 or really close. I'm also on a 114LSA.
