Cam Help
I have 02 SS M6, with full exhaust and a lid, i daily drive the car, so i dont want anything crazy, but i would like to hear a nice lope, but something i can drive with, also do i have to change anything else with the cam? like springs or pushrods, or do they make a cam that u dont have to change anything?
i'm gonna go with a reverse split cam, check out the TR230/224 cam it makes good power, pulls hard from what i see on every post and has good drivability. you'll have to change springs and pushrods with any of the aftermarket cams
I have no, I mean no experience of putting a motor together much less putting a cam in any car but I did it. Granted I took my time and studied up on it before tackling this project. All in the end I got it done and the car is running good.

To tell you the truth, you can put this cam by yourself if you have the space and time to do it.

The labor wont be cheap if your not doing it yourself. Its not how 'hard' the job is, its mostly the time b/c swapping the springs its very time consuming.
Since its a DD, I would recommend something like a 224 duration cam and a 228 at the max.
Your going to need to swap springs and pushrods with any camshaft swap. Since you have a stick, better start saving up for an aftermarket clutch as well.
