I think that a pretty good summary of your posting value. Here is the thing 'Bird. There are much better tests for a rod knock than to go beat on a motor. All you are asking to do if you have one is to ruin the crank if it actually has one. Your making the assumption its never a rod knock, and that running it hard will dislodge the carbon. The better option is to identify is not a rod, and then go blow the carbon out of the motor. I'd ask you not post in this thread any further.

Enjoy the 2 week vacation, I'd recommend that you take that time to work on your interpersonal skills.

Well guys,
Since it never made any kind of noise, not even piston slap, prior to the tow, and it went away after sitting on the driveway overnight, my assumption is that it definately was related to the car being on the ramp truck. I have since put over 350 miles on it with no further noise. I don't know what might have caused it, but it definately was not carbon, as I didn't even drive it to make it stop. Only started the engine after sitting overnight. Thanks to those who provided helpful information.

What tests would you recommend? My car is making a bad knocking sound. It is parked in my shop right now and I am not sure where to start to see if I can pin point it as a rod knock. I know I am not going to go out and hammer it thats for sure. lol

Glad the OP's car is all good.

I used to come on this forum all the time and now every so often because of all the dick measuring **** that goes on in here. Apparently some one knew it was not a rod knock. Rod knocks do not go away over night. Then again very rarely but it has happened that your oil pressure gauge can register 50 psi and still have a rod issue but it just happened to my buddy yesterday in his F-body.
